Teacher Training
The Voice Workshop Somatic Voicework™ Teacher Training Programs are currently being conducted in four locations: at Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, Virginia for levels one, two and three, University of Mass. at Dartmouth, Level One, University of Central Oklahoma, Level One, and University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Level One. For more information please visit our Upcoming Events page.
At Shenandoah Conservatory, the Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute features Somatic Voicework™. The Institute offers a three level program during nine days each summer, usually in the end of July, at the Shenandoah campus in Winchester, Virginia. In 2012 Level one will be July 14-16, Level Two July 17-19 and Level three July 20-22 and the LoVetri Seminar July 23 (open to graduates of level III). Each of the three levels of Somatic Voicework™ offers optional certification and degree credit at the graduate level and each is open to all who teach or would like to teach or work with singers of Contemporary Commercial Music (all non-classical styles), as well as to those who wish to sing these styles. It is not, however, a course aimed at performers specifically. Until our 2012 brochure is available, please view our 2011 brochure. For further questions please contact: Kathyn Green at kgreen@su.edu.
