Voice Teacher Training in Somatic Voicework™

Teacher Training

The Voice Workshop Somatic Voicework™ Teacher Training Programs are currently being conducted in four locations: at Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, Virginia for levels one, two and three, at University of Mass. at Dartmouth, Level One, Albion College, at Albion, Michigan, Level One and at the Brooklyn Youth Chorus Academy, Level I with an emphasis on children and children choruses. At Shenandoah Conservatory, the Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute features Somatic Voicework™. The Institute offers a three level program during nine days each summer, usually in the end of July, at the Shenandoah campus in Winchester, Virginia. In 2010 Level one will be July 17-20, Level Two July 21-23 and Level three July 23-25 and ther LoVetri Seminar July26. Each of the three levels of Somatic Voicework™ offers optional certification and degree credit at the graduate level and each is open to all who teach or would like to teach or work with singers of Contemporary Commercial Music (all non-classical styles), as well as to those who wish to sing these styles. CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University

The Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah Conservatory featuring Somatic Voicework™, July 17-25, 2010, continues to be the first and only vocal pedagogy course offering graduate and doctoral credit for courses on CCM. It also offers a number of post certification courses for those who are certified as Level III graduates.
