Teacher Training

The Voice Workshop Somatic Voicework™ Teacher Training Programs are currently being conducted in four locations: at Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, Virginia for levels one, two and three, University of Mass. at Dartmouth, Level One, University of Central Oklahoma, Level One, and University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Level One. At Shenandoah Conservatory, the Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute features Somatic Voicework™. The Institute offers a three level program during nine days each summer, usually in the end of July, at the Shenandoah campus in Winchester, Virginia. In 2012 Level one will be July 14-16, Level Two July 17-19 and Level three July 20-22 and the LoVetri Seminar July 23 (open to graduates of level III). Each of the three levels of Somatic Voicework™ offers optional certification and degree credit at the graduate level and each is open to all who teach or would like to teach or work with singers of Contemporary Commercial Music (all non-classical styles), as well as to those who wish to sing these styles. It is not, however, a course aimed at performers specifically. Until our 2012 brochure is available, please view our 2011 brochure. CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University

The Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute tenth anniversary featuring Somatic Voicework™, the LoVetri Method, runs July 14-23, 2012 for levels I, II and III. It continues to be the first and only vocal pedagogy course offering graduate and doctoral credit for courses on CCM. Special Events

Jeannette LoVetri will be presenting a Workshop June 15-17, 2012 "Your Voice Is A Healing Tool" at the Omega Institute® in Rhinebeck, NY. This workshop explores the concepts of voice/sound healing and a overview of vocal sound and the history of the use of sound and voice in various healing disciplines. Workshops/Masterclasses

Jeannette LoVetri will present a workshop and masterclass for high school and collage students with open attendance, Friday evening and Saturday morning, November 4-5, 2011, Sponsored by NATS Georgia and co-sponsored by GA MTNA, at Columbus State University. Jeannette LoVetri in conjunction with Dianne Berkun, Artistic Director of the grammy Award winning Brooklyn Youth Chorus Academy will offer Cross-Choral Training® for teachers and conductors of young singers on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Brooklyn Youth Chorus Academy located at 179 Pacific Street, Cobble Hill, Brooklyn NY from 10am to 5pm.
